As one of the company’s first joiners, I’ve had a front-row seat to what makes this team different. And if there’s one word I’d use to describe life at Alinia, it’s velocity.

Time moves incredibly fast here. It’s sometimes hard to remember which projects we were working on just a week ago because we’re constantly building, learning, and moving on to the next challenge.

But velocity doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from the people.

We’re a diverse team of people who take ownership, move with real speed, and are genuinely motivated by the problems we’re trying to solve. There’s a strong bias toward action and experimentation: we identify a problem, figure out a solution, build it, learn from it, and iterate.

Moving fast, without compromising on quality

Speed only matters if the quality is there.

At Alinia, quality is never an afterthought. Whether we’re working on something highly complex or a seemingly simple deliverable, we aim to do it properly — thoughtfully, thoroughly, and in a way that can scale.

Remote-first, and human-first

We’re a remote-first company, but we’re also a company that values being together.

Some of the best conversations happen face-to-face: with customers, with teammates, or simply over coffee.

We spend time with customers in person because there’s no substitute for learning first-hand about their challenges, concerns, and expectations. Understanding the problem deeply is a huge part of building the right solution.

We also have offices in New York, Valencia, and Barcelona, giving us places to come together, collaborate, and — importantly — have real human interactions.

Because being remote-first doesn’t mean being disconnected.

Two offsites a year

And then there are our offsites.

Twice a year, the whole team gets together for a week — once during the winter and once during the summer.

It’s a full week of living and working together: stepping away from our usual routines, spending time with teammates, working through big challenges, and getting to know each other beyond our day-to-day roles.

Those weeks are intense, energizing, and a lot of fun. They’re also a reminder that while we’re building ambitious technology, we’re ultimately building it as a team.

So, what is it really like?

It’s fast.

It’s demanding.

It’s deeply collaborative.

And it’s incredibly rewarding.
